I remember we were surfing the tides
Thinking about living a lie
or living a life worth living
If distance resigned would time fail to exist?
or if matter was blind & light traveled with the weight of a
that could think of nothing but how taste came from a salt
Would it still travel fast enough to color the sky?
Open my eyes and see the daylight smother my peers
Strange life, ponder my years
I'm less present when blessed with a gift,
A dream or idea
A dream that could stumble a sleeper that lived on a prayer
or lived out of fear of living a lie
Long live the thought that buried our doubts
or buried the child
Naive as he was.
A POEM BY ME.
